Knitting Goddess #9

Hrm... Since I never actually do a pattern as written, what little touch should I add to Rosedale to make me enjoy it more (or to make it more challenging).

To keep in Christina tradition, it would be to have some kind of lace/cable running up the front and down the back (2 rows, one on each side of the jacket and 2 on the back).

Matching wool colors I have are black, white/neutral, green, very dark blue and light blue. I'm leaning towards the white, but is that too Christmasy?
