Sock Overload!

I have just completed not one, but two! pairs of socks.

These are socks that I desperately tried to finish for a birthday present and failed. By about 8 hours. That hurt.

The yarn is Elann's Sock it to Me, the pattern is Barbara Breiter's Mistake Rib Socks, knit with the two socks, two circs method. It's actually a women's pattern, but knit loosely enough, it'll fit most male feet (I hope anyway, he hasn't tried them on yet).

This is my second time knitting this pattern and I really like it.

And now, for some true decadence... CASHMERE SOCKS.

The yarn is Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, knit on size 6 DPNs with this sock pattern as a base.

The cable stitch is my own.

If you want it, it's a simple 5 stitch repeat:
Row 1-3: p1, k1, p1, k2
Row 4: p1, k1, p1, knit into the back loop of the second stitch, do not slip either stitch off the needle, knit the first stitch, slip both stitches off of the needle

These socks were pure luxury to knit and will be winging their way to California where the happy recipient (and yarn purchaser) will enjoy them. I have friends who enjoy socks just a leetle bit too much.
