The Ren Faire Pouch

I went to the Ren Faire, umm... two Saturdays ago? And I realized that I had no Ren Faire appropriate purse to go with my garb. A day and some stash yarn later, I had...

The Ren Faire Pouch!

Materials:
remnant ball of bulky weight cotton (50+ yards)
size 10 DPNs
big crochet hook
6 mm plastic pony beads ($1 a bag @ Michaels – this used maybe 1/3 of the bag)
tapestry needle

Row 7: Knit 3, yfwd, slide bead to front of yarn, slip 1 purlwise, ybck,

Decreases:

Row 2: *Knit 5, k2tog. Repeat from * around
Row 3: *Knit 4, k2tog. Repeat from * around
Row 4: *Knit 3, k2tog. Repeat from * around
Row 5: *Knit 2, k2tog. Repeat from * around
Row 6: *Knit 1, k2tog. Repeat from * around
Row 7: k2tog around

Break yarn and thread through remaining stitches. Draw closed.

With crochet hook and new yarn, chain a good amount of stitches. Break yarn and thread through final loop. Weave chain through the narrowest part of the bag at about every other stitch.

Weave in ends. Sew chain stitch string shut.

This pattern is recreated from looking at the finished object and figuring out what I did. I reserve the right to be completely wrong without remorse.

Please credit this pattern to Christina McNamee if you use it. (OMG DUN STEAL!)
