Rhinebeck in a Nutshell
Paula and I drove almost 8 hours from Greenbelt, MD to Albany on Friday (in the NEVER ENDING RAIN), met up with Anne and crashed at a HoJo's (classy!), and then got up the next day and drove down. Google directions got us spectacularly lost, we asked for directions in Saugerties and got some that would have gotten us even loster. I didn't take any pictures, but upstate New York is very picturesque. We apparently drove through the town where my grandfather grew up (Kingston).Despite all of that, we made our way to Rhinebeck just in time for the sun to come out.
I saw lots of wild creatures...
Met up with some bloggers (Team Georgia, Team Long Island, and a bunch of folks in the Poughkeepsie Mariott on Saturday night)...
And forgot to take pictures...
And brought home the spoils...
I think I spent more getting to Rhinebeck than I actually spent at Rhinebeck, but all in all, it was a very fun weekend away.
