Knitting Goddess #9
Shawl
This shawl was nothing but grief and joy at once. Knitting on a huge cone of yarn I got at an antique store for $3, it was very slow work. Painfully slow. The yarn was actually crochet thread, much smaller than fingering yarn (the recommended yarn) and I knit it on a size smaller than the recommended needle. (5s instead of 6s)This shawl was knit from Shawls and Scarves: The Best of Knitter's Magazine. It was knit from the top down, which was exceptionally lucky for me, because of the thinness in the yarn. I continued down for several extra repeats of the pattern. In the end, I absolutely adore it, and can't wait for warm weather so I can wear it!
